AIIMS MBBS 2019 Prospectus Released with 6 Major Changes – Know Details Here!

All India Institute of Medical Science has released the prospectus for the MBBS 2019 entrance exam. Candidates who have successfully completed the basic registration process for the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam can now download the prospectus from the official website of AIIMS i.e. aiimsexams.org.

AIIMS has released all the details of the AIIMS MBBS exam such as the exam pattern, preparation of result, counseling details and complete admission process in its prospectus. The Institute has also re-opened the code generation process for eligible studentsย from February 23rd to March 12th, 2019. Candidates who have already generated their codes can now begin their final registration process that commenced on February 23rd, 2019.

Furthermore, the admission committee has introduced some major changes in AIIMS MBBS 2019 which are mentioned below:

6 Major Changes Introduced In AIIMS MBBS 2019

  1. Change in AIIMS Application Process โ€“ The institute started online registration for AIIMS MBBS along with a new facility of PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration). As per the PAAR facility, the application process will involve two major steps โ€“ 1) Basic Registration, 2) Final Registration. The Basic Registration required submission of basic details. In the Final Registration, the candidates need to submit qualification details, application fee, and exam city choice.

  1. Six New AIIMS Introduced – This year, the authority has increased the number of AIIMS Institutes for admission to MBBS courses making a total of 15 AIIMS across the country. The six new campuses are located in Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Deogarh and Bibinagar.
  2. Hike in AIIMS MBBS Seats – With the introduction of 6 new AIIMS, the number of AIIMS MBBS Seats available have also increased. AIIMS now has a total of 1207 MBBS seats at UG level of this, 300 seats are available in the new campuses.
  3. 100 Seats added in Guntur and Nagpur– The authorities have also hiked the number of MBBS seats in AIIMS Guntur and Nagpur Campuses by 100. A total of 100 seats each have been added in these two institutes. Also, the AIIMS prospectus mentions the reservation of 51 seats for Unreserved category and 27 seats for OBC candidates. While 15 and 7 seats are reserved for SC and ST aspirants, respectively. 5% of the total seats are reserved for PWD category.
  4. Change in PwD Aspirants eligibility Criteria – The minimum qualifying percentage for the Class 12 candidates belonging to PwD category has been decreased to 45% from 50%.
  5. Reduction in number AIIMS exam cities – The institute has also disclosed the list of AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam centres and there is a dip of two centres. This year, AIIMS MBBS exam will be conducted in a total of 153 cities only. Last year, the exam was conducted in 155 major cities of India.
